Early Help Offer

Early Help, Nurture and Pastoral Support

At Hasland Infant and Nursery school, nurture and pastoral support is something we offer to all of our children and is a key part of our vision and school ethos.  The nurturing role of all of our staff ensures that throughout your child’s school life they are part of a caring and supportive environment where they can develop as confident and happy children.

We also take a holistic approach to supporting our children which means that we also provide support to our parents, carers and the wider family. We know that being a parent is hard work and there are no instructions! At times, your child, you or your family may need some extra support.  At Hasland Infant and Nursery School we can offer a friendly welcome, a listening ear and, if necessary, we can help you to work out what to do next and help you to identify where you may benefit from extra help, and who is the best person or service to work with your child, yourself or your family

As a school, we look at each and every individual need so that we can ensure that they receive the support that they need.  You can feel confident in approaching all members of our school staff.  However, if you prefer to ask for a named person, the following members of staff are trained to help you:

Mrs C Lavender – Head Teacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead

Mrs Hicklin – Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo), Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead and Designated Teacher for Looked After Children

Mrs Oliver – Deputy Head Teacher

Miss Hudson - Family Support Worker - Early Help
