Hasland Infant School was first opened in 1904. It is a co-educational Infant and Nursery school with a large nursery and 10 classrooms. It benefits from an attractive library and Positive Play room and many other child-friendly spaces in which children can work. Much of the school has been extended and many internal modifications have been undertaken, reflecting the growth of Hasland village over the years.
Our Nursery was built 36 years ago; it has its own fenced outdoor play area including grass and hard-surface areas. The main school grounds include two general play areas, a grassed area and a small staff car park. We are also fortunate to have wildlife, environmental and vegetable gardens, which are used on a regular basis by the children.
The school site is completely secure, affording peace of mind and allowing children to safely enjoy the spaces we have. We have taken full advantage of the recent developments to the outdoor areas for the Foundation children and the results are really wonderful with lots of additional and interesting spaces for children to play and learn. We have an extensive outdoor canopy which enables learning to take place all year round.
We work closely with Hasland Junior and Hasland Hall Secondary schools to ensure a strategic approach to the education and well-being of all our children.
