As winter arrives and the evenings are getting darker it is vital that children are seen. As a school we have decided to provide each child with a reflector. The reflectors can be clipped onto your child's coat or bag to keep them safe as they walk home from school. We hope they all enjoy wearing their reflectors which will be handed out to them today.
Thank you for all your support this week. We are delighted to tell you that we have raised £273.00 for children in need.

We are pleased to announce that we have received the Healthy School Community award. This has been awarded to our school as we are continually promoting and understanding the importance of physical health, mental health and well-being of our pupils by ensuring appropriate coverage through Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) and Relationships and Sex Education (RSE). We also raise awareness of health and safety topics such as the NSPCC PANTS campaign, road safety, sun safety and e-safety. Year 2’s also cover drug education, keeping safe near water and basic first aid.
To conclude, at Hasland Infant and Nursery we aspire to ensure that everyone feels included and listened to. We are always looking to improve our practise and make our children’s welfare central to all of our decisions. PSHE is a crucial part of our curriculum that underpins all that we do.

BIG THANK YOU
Hasland Infants
October 25th 2018
To all the Children, Parents & Staff at Hasland Infants,
Thank you very much for your generous Harvest food donation. The weight of the food was 49kgs, with enough food items for 70 meals. That is amazing!
People sometimes need emergency help to cope with crisis situations, and agencies and charities refer them to the Chesterfield foodbank.
During 2017/18, the Chesterfield foodbank provided 3-day packs of food and toiletries to 2,300 adults and 900 children. In 2018/19, the foodbank is feeding 44% more adults and children than in 2017/18, primarily due to the introduction of Universal Credit.
Our 2018/19 budget is £27,500, mainly funded by local donors.
Thank you so much for your support and encouragement.
Ann Cleaver
