Using your orange and blue letters can you build these words- chimp, chip, chop, chap, chicken, rocket

Grownups read out this sentence aloud one word at a time including telling them when to use finger spaces and a full stop- The big chimp had a fast red rocket.
Challenge: Write 4 sentences, each sentence must include one of the words we have built today.

Literacy

Practise your story map, what happens in the beginning of the story? What does the ladybird hear?
Write one or two sentences that explains what happens in the beginning of the story. Don’t forget to use capital letters, finger spaces and full stops.
Challenge: Write 3 or more sentences explaining what happened in the beginning of the story.

Understanding the world

Scavenger Hunt
Find something that:
1. Is blue, 2. Has 4 sides, 3. Is round, 4. Is longer than a pencil, 5. Is shorter than a toothbrush, 6. Has numbers on it, 7. Has the letter b on it, 8. Is smaller than you, 9. Smells nice, 10. Is smooth, 11. Starts with the first letter of your name, 12. Is heavier than your shoe.

Expressive Arts and Design

Finger print/cotton bud painting
Choose an insect that you wish to paint and either draw it yourself or ask your grown-up to draw it for you. (There are lots of printable templates on Google).
Once you have drawn your insect you will need to paint it by creating lots of little dots with either your finger, a cotton bud or the end of a pencil.
