Phonics:

In phonics we are going to recap the ‘oe’ sound.    We have found out that it can be spelt in different ways.  These include oe, o, oa, ow, o-e

Read these words and sort them into relevant groups.  boat, bone, know, go, crow, open, snow, toe, wrote, goat, no

Maths:

Our number of the week is 30.  What do you know about this number? Tell your grown up 5 facts or create a spidergram like we do in school.

      30 = ___ + ___                                                                   10 + 10 + ___ = 30

How many unit of one are in 30?

                     30 – 5 = ___                                           Is 30 Odd or Even? How do you know?

Playtime:

Find a ball to play catch with.

Literacy:

Last week you came up with a new character who we are going to write a story about next week but first we need a setting! Read the message (attached powerpoint) and describe the setting using adjectives.

Have a look at different books (including Julia Donaldson books if you have them) and make a list of different settings (forest, beach, haunted house). Are there any other settings you can think of?

Pick a setting in a book and describe it to your child and see if they can draw or guess what the setting is.

Lunch:

Wash your hands and help your grown up to prepare your lunch.

PE:

The 2020 Blue Peter Sport badge has been launched and all details relating to how your child can earn this badge can be found on the Blue Peter website: https://www.bbc.co.uk/cbbc/joinin/bp-sport-badge-2020

It is a great opportunity for your child / children to not only be rewarded, but to also try something new by being physically active, even when at home.  Keep working on your goal if you have alredy started.  If not, why not give it a go.
