Keep Active

Learn to dance like bugs and crawly things-

Sing the phonics song

Read these words: sing, ring, thing, king, ding, wing
Using your orange and blue letters, can you build the words- grab, grump, grid and gruff. If you haven’t got any orange and blue letters at home or need some new ones then you can print some from the website go to parents home learning, reception, the document is called ‘word building cards’
Challenge: Can you write 1 or 2 sentences that rhyme using the words that you read at the beginning?

Practise your story map; can you remember the story and all of the actions?
What did you do at the weekend? Have a think about what you did at the weekend with your families, was the weather nice? What did you have to eat? What toys did you play with? Draw a picture and write a sentence about your weekend news- you can print the template attached or do it straight onto paper/your book.
Challenge: Write 3 or more sentences about your weekend; make sure that every sentence has finger spaces, a capital letter and a full stop. Can you use any of our sight words in your writing? E.g. was, there, were, and said.

Listen to the doubles rap-

Today we are going to make doubles posters- what you will need to do is pick a number between 1-7, lets imagine you picked 1, you are going to make a poster using things that represent double 1, first of all you need to work out what double 1 is, then fill your poster with different things that show that the answer which for this poster would be 2 e.g. you could write out the number sentence, draw a picture of something with 2 legs, stick on a number 2, you could draw 2 stars, a number 2 numicon or on a dice etc.

Challenge: The same as above but choose one of the following numbers and double it- 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10

To practise your handwriting you will either need a whiteboard and pen or paper and a pencil. First of all you are going to warm up the muscles in your arms and fingers. Stand with your arms out wide and make big circles with your arms 5 times, now do it again but going in the opposite direction. Next wiggle your fingers for 10 seconds. Now your muscles are warmed up you are ready to write.

Practice the letters d, f, v and e Practise each letter 5 times.

Expressive Arts and Design

Watch the video… you will see 3 different coloured eggs, red blue and yellow. You need to choose a different sound to represent each colour e.g. you may clap your hands for red, shake an instrument for blue and shout your name for yellow, it’s up to you! A little man will come onto the screen he is the conductor. When he jumps on a coloured egg you need to make the sound for that egg e.g. if he jumps on red and you chose to clap your hands for red then that is what you need to do.  It does a get a little faster towards the end.

If you are really good at this then you could always try level 2…
