Dance Festival

On Thursday 3rd November 2016 KS1 enjoyed a dance festival which was held at our school.

In the morning Class 7, 8, 9 and 10 enjoyed 2 dance workshops and Class 4, 5 and 6 had similar workshops in the afternoon.

In the morning there was also a session where the children saw some videos on an interactive white board. The video footage included dance that Miss Beard does out of school. It also showed the performances that Hasland Infant and Nursery school put on at The Winding Wheel Dance Festivals in the last few years.

This is what some of the participants said about the day:

"I loved it when Miss Beard showed us the dance that we did in Year 1 at the Winding Wheel " - Class 8

" I liked it when we made up our own poses" - Class 9.

"I had such fun this morning with the children, there were awesome as always! Thanks for asking me to deliver the sessions" - Lauren (Dance teacher).

"Just wanted to say a big thank you for inviting us to your Diwali festival, I really enjoyed my time with the children and showing them about our culture" - Sanjukta (Diwali and Dance teacher).
